Lamp Circuit Power (LCP)

Standards used/referenced:

IES LM79: Electrical and Photometric Measurements of Solid-State Lighting Products
AEMO Unmetered Load Guideline

Test details:

The Lamp Circuit Power (LCP) test is to measure the true power of the complete luminaire (i.e. including the control gear).
The measurement of true power is important as part of the process for identifying energy efficient lighting.

LCP test is required as part of the New South Wales Energy Saving Scheme (ESS / IPART) and the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) scheme in Victoria for LED luminaire. As per requirements, test report produced from a NATA accredited laboratory or equivalent body on one sample using IES LM-79, showing the combined power consumption of a lamp and its driver (control gear). Light Science is NATA accredited to produce LCP test report.

Report inclusions:

The LCP report will include: The manufacturers information and specifications, photos of the luminaire, electrical characteristics of the luminaire system including power factor.
